CAN GIO MANGROVE BIOSPHERE RESERVES (Lunch)  

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Can Gio district, the only district of Ho Chi Minh city bordered by the sea. You have the chance to visit Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserves located southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, close to where the Saigon River meets the South China Sea, the low-lying Can Gio island houses a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This is an important natural wetland with attractions like Monkey island, Rung Sac Military Base, Vam Sat Salt-Marsh Forest Ecological Tourist Center, and a crocodile farm. Arrive at Can Gio monkey forest park, visit the flora and fauna of mangrove swamp including salt-water crocodiles, wild cats, otters, pythons, deer and fox and esspecially more than 1000 wild  monkeys. Afterwards, take a canoe to visit the mangrove swamp ecosystem and Rung Sac Guerilla-Base. Vietnames-style lunch will be served at local restaurant. The final destination in your itinerary is Whale Temple or the Temple of Water General in Can Thanh commune, Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh city. Local fishermen always honor the Whale Genie and hold the Nghinh Ong festival every year to pay tribute to whales, who have saved them during tropical storms and bring them a safe bumper catch. Drive back to the city center and drop you off at your hotel.
